Understanding Your Eversource Electricity Bill
There are two separate types of charges on your Eversource electricity bill, delivery charges and supply charges. With Energy Choice, you can switch electricity providers and save on your electricity supply.
Delivery Charges
These are charges that go to Eversource to support electricity distribution to your home. The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities set these charges, so they don't change when you switch electricity providers.
Supply Charges
Supply charges are the charges for the electricity you use. It is based on an electricity supply rate, which you can locate on your electricity bill. You use this rate when comparing electricity providers.
