Entrust Energy has more than tripled its customer base since December 2011 to 24,000 residential customers in Texas, making it the fastest growing retail electricity provider in the state. Company management attributes this growth to no-hassle rate plans that eliminate monthly customer fees and online payment fees while offering rates at highly competitive prices.

Demand for commercial plans quickly motivated the company to extend its services to businesses starting in October 2012. An assortment of available plans is now offered in the commercial sector in 3, 6, 12, 18, and 24 month terms, as well as variable monthly pricing plans.

To date, Entrust Energy has not yet redesigned its website to reflect services for commercial electricity. It is not clear how many commercial consumers have switched to this provider, nor is there any cost savings information available for existing Entrust Energy commercial customers. More information for commercial consumers is expected to become available in 2013, as this sector of service is still in its beginning stages.

Entrust Energy is a privately owned retail service provider that serves Houston, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Corpus Christi, Arlington, and other deregulated areas in Texas. The provider services all Texas transmission and distribution utilities (TDUs) in Texas, including CenterPoint Energy, Oncor Electric Delivery, AEP Texas North, AEP Texas Central, and Texas New Mexico Power.
