For PECO customers you will need your account number to change electricity providers. See below for information on how to find your PECO account number.
PECO Bill Information
To switch PECO electricity plans, you will only need your account number from your bill:
- Account Number: Your 10 digit account number can be found on the right side of your PECO bill.
Compare PECO Electricity Rates
Now that you have your PECO account number, enter your Pennsylvania zip code in our compare and switch tool at the top right side of the screen. You will then find many PECO electricity providers, rates and plans you can choose from.
When you are comparing electricity providers, take into consideration
- How your current PECO supply rate compares to what PECO providers are offering
- The length of the PECO electric plan
- If the plan is fixed or variable
Lower your PECO Bill
Now that you have compared PECO electricity plans with the current Price to Compare and your PECO supply rate on your bill and have found an electricity provider that works for you, click select and start entering your information. This is the point in which you will need your PECO account number.
Your new provider will contact PECO about your switch and PECO will still bill you directly.
It typically takes one to two billing cycles for you to see the change in your supply rate on your PECO bill.
