Texas electricity shoppers got good deal on Cyber Monday

Houston, Texas-based electricity provider Bounce Energy once again introduced an exciting way to shop for lower electricity rates.

The holiday season has always been a big time for shopping all across the country, as everyone scrambles to find presents for family and friends alike. The Thanksgiving holiday made for an easy excuse to create Black Friday deals and the rise of the internet has since spurred Cyber Monday.

But books, movies and toys are not the only thing that can be found at a bargain on days like this. For the second year, Bounce Energy offered a special discount for customers choosing to switch electricity providers on Cyber Monday at a fantastically reduced price for the first month.

The discounts ranged from as much as 50 percent off before 8 in the morning to a still substantial 10 percent off after 5 in the afternoon.

Though this deal passed quickly, Bounce offers similar deals sporadically throughout the year, and consistently offers competitive electricity prices. The Public Utility Commission of Texas notes that more than 55 percent of Texas residents had already chosen to switch electricity providers as of June.
