As electricity deregulation continues to increase competition between electricity providers, many companies are introducing new features to their electricity service. Plano, Texas-based Cirro Energy announced at the start of November that it has introduced mobile access to all the tools it provides its customers.

Cirro already offers electricity usage monitoring tools, online payment options and extensive customer service on its website. Now the company announced that it would make these resources available on a mobile website accessible to any smartphone with internet access.

"From social media to instant web transactions, the digital world is making significant strides in online information exchange," Mike Rose, managing director of Cirro Energy, said in a statement. "And now with Cirro’s new site, customers can continue to live that ‘mobile’ lifestyle, whether it’s paying bills on-the-go or renewing their electricity plan."

The announcement follows a recent trend among electricity companies, as more businesses look to offer all their services to mobile users. Rival electricity supplier TXU introduced an interactive electricity usage monitoring app earlier in October.
