Think Energy, a retail electricity provider under the umbrella of GDF Suez Energy Resources, recently announced that Canton Games has won Baltimore's Smartest Small Business contest, and will now receive a full years' worth of electricity from Think Energy for free.
Canton Games, which sells board and card games, comic books, action figures and similar products, was chosen by the public after the company showed a video of the goings-on at the office.
"We're excited to bring attention to small businesses in Baltimore and to recognize the important contributions that companies like Canton Games make to the local community and economy," said Deena Morgan, vice president of Think Energy. "Our goal is to support the success of small businesses, and this contest is one way we are demonstrating our commitment to becoming the preferred power provider to small commercial customers in Baltimore."
Think Energy is one of many retail energy providers that specialize in small business electricity. These companies have come to rise after several states implemented laws that created thriving competitive electricity markets, where businesses looked to find the lowest electricity rates.
