The fall season brings with it a lot of great things but it also brings potentially higher electric bills. Here are some tips to help you save this fall:

    • Switch to LED lighting: Fall means shorter days and therefore more artifical light has to be used to light our homes. Switching to LED lighting helps you save on your electric bill by using far less electricity than other light bulbs.
    • Unplug unused electronics: This tip is really for all seasons but if you are looking to save it is an easy place to start. start unplugging all unused devices when you are going to bed or when you go away for a long weekend.
    • Use energy efficient appliances: Have an old fridge that hasn’t closed properly in the past three years? Well now could be the time to upgrade to a new energy efficient fridge. Look for the Energy Star logo when you are shopping and start saving on your electric bill.
    • Turn off lights: Similar to the unplug tip, when you are not in a room be sure to turn the light off when you leave. This may sound simple but it will help you save in the long run

As always, you can lower you electricity bill by searching for a plan that fits your needs right here on ElectricityRates.com
