The commercial retail energy division of Direct Energy has partnered with compressed natural gas (CNG) station developer American Natural Gas LLC (ANG) in order to aid Direct Energy Business in bringing CNG refueling infrastructure to its fleet and commercial customers.

Direct Energy Business will lead the marketing efforts and client acquisition activities, as well as provide natural gas and electricity to the fueling stations and work with its clients on commodity contract terms for their CNG output pricing structure. ANG will develop and own the majority of the CNG station infrastructure that gets built. Both companies will help clients structure their gas agreements.

“The relationship we have developed with Direct Energy Business allows us to expand our station rollout strategy while being able to offer both companies’ current and future clients a turnkey CNG fueling solution,” says Drew West, founder and CEO of ANG.

Direct Energy Business is one of the largest commercial retail energy suppliers in North America. It offers retail natural gas services in the major Canadian provinces, as well as in California and most of the U.S. Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.
