Bounce Energy, one of the fastest-growing retail energy providers in the country, is one of the only Houston-based companies left in the national Social Madness competition, put on by Capital One Spark Business.

According to the Houston Business Journal, two other Houston companies – the Houston Zoo and Kemah Boardwalk – made it to the second round, however Bounce is the only one of them to make it to the final round of 16 competitors. Now, the company will go up against others in the small-business category, and will only move on if it receives the most votes on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

So far, Bounce has proven to have an active social media presence, and has continually updated its content, which it expects will propel it forward into the next round. The energy provider has also used unique marketing techniques to get more votes, such as its plan to donate 50 cents to Texas Children's Hospital for every Facebook "like" it receives.

Bounce Energy is one of several retail energy providers that have sprung up throughout Texas to provide electricity rates at a discount to the state's utilities.
