Bounce Energy, a retail energy provider based in Texas, recently took second place in J.D. Power and Associates Texas Residential Retail Electric Provider Customer Satisfaction Study.

In only four years, the Texas energy provider has risen to nearly the top spot on the list, falling behind only Champion Energy, an established company in the state. Bounce Energy showed the greatest points increase from 2011 to 2012 based on customer satisfaction, gaining 64 points, compared to the runner-up, which gained only 34 points.

"We are very proud of the work we’ve put in as a company to make this leap," said Bounce Energy CEO Robbie Wright. "We’re also thankful to our loyal customers who took the time to participate in the survey and rate us so highly."

The company is the youngest independent electric supplier to participate in the study, and because the ranking only includes companies with a certain number of respondents, taking second place suggests Bounce will likely continue to grow at a rapid clip.

Texas' thriving competitive energy market comes at an important time, with electricity rates rising precipitously as state regulators attempt to force utilities to build new generation plants to meet ever-rising demand.
