Bounce Energy, a privately owned, independent Texas electricity company, has earned a name for itself as a company that regularly gives back to the community in several ways, and now it is working to raise funds for Texas Children's Hospital.

For four years now, the retail energy provider has worked with several organizations and made generous donations to a number of charities, including the American Heart Association, the Boot Campaign, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and now Texas Children's.

The electric company stated that it will donate $2,500 to the hospital, and will then give another 50 cents for every Facebook user who "likes" Bounce Energy's Facebook page, as well as for every Twitter follow it attracts in August. For every person who signs up for Twitter and uses the promo code "texaschildrens," the company will donate another $50.

Texas Children's Hospital is renowned for its patient care, and recently completed a $1.5 billion expansion to better treat children from across the country.

With the rise of energy deregulation has come a number of retail energy providers who focus on community events and charity to show customers they care about the communities in which the operate.
