Stream Energy, the Dallas, Texas-based retail electricity provider, and its marketing arm Ignite have once again been recognized as one of the top network marketing firms in the world and the largest in the energy sector.
The title illustrates the success the company has seen selling power at lower electricity rates in the deregulated markets across the U.S., including Texas, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey, as well as the natural gas market in Georgia.
"It is a testament to the power of this concept, that in the roughly seven years since our firm's launch we are on our way to $5 billion in total sales," Rob Snyder, chairman of Stream Energy, said in a statement. "It is directly attributable to our industry-leading focus on helping entrepreneurs of all walks of life participate in energy deregulation in a manner previously not available to them."
Stream Energy was founded in 2005, three years after the start of electricity deregulation in Texas, but has grown rapidly from that point, becoming one of the largest electricity providers not affiliated with a utility company.
