PSEG Electric Bill Information
To switch PSEG rates, customers will only need their POD ID on their PSEG bill:
- POD ID: Your POD ID will start with PE and be followed by 18 digits. This can be found at the top of your PSEG bill.
Compare PSEG Electricity Providers
Once you have your POD ID, compare PSEG electricity providers and plans by entering your ZIP Code into our free compare and switch tool, located at the top right of this page, and clicking search. You will then find many PSEG electricity rates, plans and providers to select from.
When comparing PSEG rates, some questions you should ask are
- What is your current PSEG supply rate? (This can be located on your PSEG Bill)
- What type of provider are you looking for? Are you looking for a PSEG renewable electricity provider?
- Are you looking for a short or long duration contract length?
Save on your PSEG Bill
Now that you have found the PSEG provider that you would like to switch to, click select and start entering your contact and account information. You will need your PSEG POD ID at this time.
Your new electricity provider will contact PSEG about your switch. You will still get billed directly by PSEG.
Usually, it takes one to two billing cycles to see the change in your supply rate on your PSEG bill.
