Eversource Rate Increase August 2026
Starting August 1, Eversource Energy is raising its basic electricity supply rate by 10.8%—from 15.63¢ to 17.32¢ per kWh—adding nearly $17 a month to a standard 1,000 kWh household bill due to rising supply costs and grid investments. To offset these higher costs, residents can take advantage of state utility assistance, energy efficiency incentives through Mass Save, or switch to competitive suppliers via Energy Choice.
