Verde Energy
Northeast Energy Company Provides Quality Energy
Verde Energy is a medium-sized electricity company serving over 175,000 households in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Verde emphasizes its simplicity and no-frills approach; they just want to provide electricity to deregulated electricity at low costs. (To that end, they’ve been marketing themselves under the name Lost Cost Power.)
Residential Electricity
Verde has a single basic electricity program. It’s low-cost and includes some proportion of renewable electricity. The company doesn’t even require a contract; it just offers a month-to-month program and bills you through your existing utility company. Verde makes a special note of the fact that they’ve managed to decrease electricity prices for their customers even as energy prices have been increasing.
Verde’s basic plans include some amount of renewable energy—between 8 and 15 percent, depending on location.
The company offers a bonus of $50 extra cash to new customers signing up with them.
